【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodforthepolarimetricdeterminationofthestarchcontentofanimalfeedingstuffsandrawmaterialsforanimalfeedingstuffs.Themethodisnotapplicabletoproductswhich,besidesstarch,containothersubstanceswhichareopticallyactiveduringtheanalysisanddonotdissolvein40%ethanol.Examplesoftheseproductsarepotatopulp,beetchips,beetleaves,beettops,yeast,soyaproducts,lupineandproductsrichininulin(e.g.chicoryrootsandJerusalemartichokes).Inthesecasesanenzymaticdeterminationofthestarchcontentmaybeused.Thismethodisnotapplicableforthequantificationofstarchwithanamylosecontentexceeding40%(e.g.highamylosemaizestarchlikeHylonVII).CAUTION—Dependingontheintensityoftheheat/moisturetreatmenttheproducthasbeensubjectedto,toolowastarchcontentmaybedetermined.
