【摘要】:1.1Thisclassificationsystemcoverspolybutyleneplasticsmaterialssuitableformoldingandextrusion.1.2Thisclassificationsystemisapplicabletoallbutenehomopolymersandtocopolymersofbutenewithamaximumcontentofother1-olefinicmonomersoflessthan50%andwithacontentofnon-olefinicmonomerswithfunctionalgroupsuptoamaximumof1%.1.3Thisclassificationsystemallowsfortheuseofthosepolybutyleneplasticmaterialsthataretoberecycled,reconstituted,andreground,providedthefollowingconditionsaremet:1.3.1Therequirementsasstatedinthisclassificationsystemandotherguidelinepertainingtothesematerialsaremet,and1.3.2Thematerialhasnotbeenmodifiedinanywaytoalteritsconformancetowatercontactregulationsorothersimilarrequirements.1.4Theproportionsofrecycled,reconstituted,andregrindmaterialused,aswellasthenatureandtheamountofanycontaminant,cannotbepracticallycoveredinthisclassificationsystem.Itistheresponsibilityofthesupplierandbuyerofrecycled,reconstituted,andregrindmaterialstoensurecompliance.1.5Thepropertiesincludedinthisclassificationsystemarethoserequiredtocharacterizeandclassifythespecificproduct.Otherpropertiesarenecessarytoidentifyparticularcharacteristicsimportanttospecializedapplications.ThesearespecifiedbyusingsuffixesasgiveninSection5.Propertiesshallbeselectedinsuchamannerthatconsistencyofdifferentlotsorshipmentsisassured.Thetestsinvolvedinthisclassificationsystemareintendedtoprovideinformationforidentifyingmaterialsinaccordancewithtypesandcategories.Itisnotthefunctionofthisclassificationsystemtoprovidespecificengineeringdatafordesignpurposes.1.6Thisclassificationsystemandsubsequentlinecallout(specification)areintendedtoprovideameansofcallingoutplasticmaterialsusedinthefabricationofenditemsorparts.Itisnotintendedfortheselectionofmaterials.Materialselectionistobemadebythosehavingexpertiseintheplasticfieldaftercarefulconsiderationofthedesignandtheperformancerequiredofthepart,theenvironmenttowhichitwillbeexposed,thefabricationprocesstobeemployed,thecostsinvolved,andtheinherentpropertiesofthematerialotherthanthosecoveredbythisstandard.1.7ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Note18212;Thisstandard,ISO8986-1,andISO8986-2addressthesamesubjectmatter,butdifferintechnicalcontent.1.8Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section11,ofthisclassificationsystem:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
