【摘要】:PromulgationsbytheFederalOccupationalSafetyandHealthAdministrationin29CFR1910.1000designatethatcertainhazardousgasesandvaporsmustnotbepresentintheworkplaceairatconcentrationsabovespecificvalues.Thispractice,whenusedinconjunctionwithananalyticaltechnique,suchasthatgivenfororganiccompoundsinPracticeD3687,mayprovideameansforthedeterminationoftime-weightedairborneconcentrationsofmanyofthehazardousgasesandvaporsin29CFR1919.1000,aswellasothers.Themanufacturer’literatureshouldbeconsultedfortheappropriatelistofchemicalswhichmaybesampledbyaparticulardevice.1.1Thispracticecoversthesamplingofworkplaceatmospheresforthepresenceofcertaingasesorvaporsbymeansofdiffusionacrossaspecifiedquiescentregionandsubsequentsorptiononasolidsorbent(1).1.2AlistoforganiccompoundswhichareapplicabletosolidsorbentsamplingwherethesorbentiscontainedinabedthroughwhichairispassedisgiveninAnnexA1ofPracticeD3686.Diffusivesamplersmaybeapplicabletoasimilarrangeofcompoundsbutthismustbeconfirmedbyreferencetotheindividualsamplermanufacturers'literature.1.3Thevaliduseofdiffusivesamplersdependsontheexistenceofactuallaboratoryorfieldvalidation,orboth.Guidanceonvalidationcanbeobtainedfrompublishedprotocols(2-6).Thispracticeisnotdesignedtocovertheverification,validation,orspecifictestproceduresusedtoassesstheaccuracyorprecisionofdiffusivesamplers.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
