【摘要】:ThispartofthisEuropeanStandardappliestohand-heldbranchpipes.Itdealswith:?safetyrequirements;?performancerequirements;?testmethods;?classificationanddesignation;?instructionsforuseandmaintenance;?marking.Thisstandardshouldbereadinconjunctionwithparts2,3or4.ThisstandarddoesnotapplytobranchpipescoveredbyEN671,foambranchpipes,powderbranchpipes,orbranchpipeswithamaximumworkingpressureabove40bar.NOTE1TheWorkingGrouphasthoroughlyaddressedanddiscussedtheissueofelectricalsafetyinrelationtousingwaterbranchpipes.However,anelectricaltestisnotincorporatedintothisstandardasinternationalexperience,aswellasresearch(NFPAhandbook,Frenchresearch,etc)haveshownthatany"artificial"or"laboratorystyle"testingwillnottakeintoaccountpoorvisibilityandotherconditionspresentonanyfireground,northeproblemofestimatingdistancesundertheseconditions.Theendusershouldbeadvised(throughtheoperatinginstructions,see8.1)thatwhenfightingfiresinornearelectricalinstallations,thepowershouldbecutoffassoonaspossible.Also,maintainamaximumpossiblesafetydistance(atleast1mupto1000V)anduseasprayjetwithaminimumsprayangleof30°.NOTE2Reactionforcesshouldbetakenintoconsiderationbeforechoosingandoperatingbranchpipes.
